If your children are too old for the $1,000 but 10 years old and under, they can be eligible for $250 in a starter investment from Michael and Susan Dell. The account is called Trump Accounts. The president does not own these accounts or the program, he just likes to put his name on things. This is a government program run by the US Treasury. More official resources are below.

This is a tax sheltered account for kids. The Account invests in mostly American companies and is tax sheltered, similar to a ROTH IRA for adults except the kids do not have to earn money to make deposits. Up to $5,000 per year can be deposited. It is a great way for family and friends of the family to give gifts to your children.
